BBC Series – Sherlock

Unlike Guy Ritchie’s Robert Downey-Jude Law starrer Sherlock Holmes, the BBC series Sherlock presents a rather brilliant and witty version of the famous detective from Baker Street. The makers, without even thinking twice, introduces every character with their names exactly from the Arthur Conan Doyle books in the present modern world. No, you dont have to think that,”I would rather see the Victorian version of Sherlock Holmes”, this is brilliant.

Benedict Cumberbatch, plays the charismatic, texting away Sherlock with such awesomeness that he makes you sit at the edge of your seat with excitement, and Martin Freeman(nice to see him without his bathrobe) who is incredible as the Afghan War veteran Dr. John Watson that is the essence of the series. Well, I feel thats mostly because Dr. Watson is the narrator in the original books, so rather than a voice over, we mostly relate to Dr. Watson and run beside Sherlock Holmes.

I highly recommend this series.
